Dr. Indira Guzman is a Coordinating Assistant Professor at TUI University and senior research associate of the IT workforce project at Syracuse University. She received her Ph. D. in Information Science and Technology from Syracuse University, USA; a M.S. in Information Management also from Syracuse University; Advanced graduate studies in Banking and Finance from the Bolivian Catholic University, Bolivia, and a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science Engineering from Polytechnic Institute of Donetsk, Ukraine.

Her business, consulting and teaching experience in Management Information Systems include nearly a decade of corporate work experience as an administrator and chief of the Information Systems Department at the Argentinean Nation Bank and another decade or so as instructor in academic institutions such as the Bolivian Catholic University and Syracuse University before joining TUI.

Dr. Guzman's research interests include the impact of information technology in organizations. Specifically, she conducts research related to the role, career orientations, gender and ethnic diversity and occupational culture of IT professionals. Other topics of her interest include Information Security and Governance in Organizations, IT culture, Virtual Communities and Digital Government. Her research uses mainly mixed methodology with qualitative and quantitative components.
